One of her favorite tips is to pick colors that contrast. “If your home or office is a neutral color, your body will be more comfortable,” she says. “Contrasting colors can add a nice visual note to your home.

I think it’s a mistake to use colors that are too dark in a room. It’s much easier to make the room more inviting by adding pops of color or bringing in bold bright colors. For example, if you’re in a room that is too dark, you’d be better off with a lighter color so your body is more comfortable.

There is some truth to that, but it’s also a mistake to go too dark. If you use too much color in a room, you might get too much color on your body and you start to feel a bit weird. You might also forget to put away your laptop or cell phone for a moment.

In my own experience I think that if you make a room too bright for your liking, your mind might be able to make a connection between your surroundings and the color that you’ve chosen. (Its common for us humans to forget what colors we have in our closets, so we might pick up the colors that are already there on our body.) If you make a room too dark, your mind might be able to see that your surroundings are not as inviting as you imagined them to be.

A lot of people get this wrong, but its actually a way for our brains to see that our surroundings actually don’t fit our perceptions. The brain’s color theory is a handy way of explaining how the brain perceives color after we have made our mind very clear on a specific color. I liken it to the “color blindness” that is sometimes a result of color-blindness.

The color theory says that when we see something as a color that is in our perception, our brain will perceive this as a color that we also see. This means that any color we see will be in our perception, but we will see it as something else that is not actually part of our perception. This is very different from the way our brains color the world that we actually see.
