This is one of those topics that I find myself talking about often in conversations with friends and family. It is something that I am struggling with right now and I have to figure out what I want to do about it. Recently I stumbled upon a conversation with a friend where she said that she was feeling really insecure about the way she was presenting herself.
I think it’s very important to be honest with yourself about any and all self-discrepancies. It’s very easy to convince yourself that you are doing something great and amazing and it actually isn’t working. When you are honest with yourself, it will make you understand how it feels when somebody else is doing something that you feel is so great and amazing. That is the most important thing, because it will definitely help you get over your self-doubt.
One of the most important things you can do to improve your self-awareness is to identify how you’re presenting yourself to the world. One of the most common signs of self-doubt is that you’re talking about yourself in a way that’s not “me”. It’s a form of self-defamation, and it’s one of the first things you can do in order to begin to self-improve.
Colton is a big boy and has the right to say whatever he wants, but what he really needs to do is to realize that he is talking about himself in a way that is much less flattering than any of his comments. When you talk about yourself in a way that is not me, you’re giving yourself a bad name and are therefore giving yourself an over-confidence boost. When you show yourself in a way that is not me, you’re showing yourself a bad name.
In the same way that I can’t have a beer and then go out and buy a new pair of shoes, you can’t start out by talking about yourself in a way that is not me. As a result, you will always have a bad name for yourself. Because when you start out talking about your own self in a way that is not me, youve got yourself an over-confidence boost that you shouldnt be taking in.
When we go after Colt Vahn (who’s supposedly the protagonist), the first thing we want to do is to tell him that they’re all like, “Hey, Colt, you’re the most awesome dude I’ve ever seen.” He’ll probably give you a little boost or two, but trust me, if you can’t think of him as anything other than “oh, that’s me,” then that’s probably not going to work.
At least with colton weve only gone after the Visionaries. The others are in the game already, so it just takes a little bit of time to get them. But yeah, there are those Visionaries too. Colt has his own, I mean, I don’t know, there are a ton. There are more Visionaries than there are characters in the game.
Colt’s post was a bit of an experiment in how much I could say about the game without ruining it. I think that the most important thing in this post is that we can all go back to our screens and imagine all of the cool things Colt might do in Deathloop. He has an amazing way of doing just about anything, from shooting birds with his laser to using the bow to shoot stuff.
The game is being developed by Arkane Studios (the company responsible for the great game “Team Fortress 2”) and is being published by EA on the PC. It’s going to be available from Tuesday, Oct. 30 through Thursday, Nov. 1. We’ll have a full list of features and playable clips over at our Twitch channel.
Colt just might have a really cool way of taking out Visionaries in Deathloop too.
